  Export XDCAMEX Codec Inside QT Wrapper?

  Hi,

  I have a feeling I know the answer to this question, but want to ask for final confirmation anyway.

  We are PC based production outfit running Adobe Production Premium CS6 suite.

  There is a Mac-based client who would prefer having weekly their product delivered in a Quicktime wrapper with a 720p60 XDCAM EX codec.

  I purchased the Calibrated Software package below for integration with CatDV, and was hoping it would serve this purpose as well. Silly me…didn’t recognize that this software only serves to decode the XDCAM EX to allow for playback and does not provide any encoding ability. So clearly this is not the solution.

  I have been searching the web and have come up empty handed so far.

  Is there a solution here? Perhaps a free bit of software from Sony? Our XDCAM EX footage is actually shot on a JVC GY-HM700, same format.

  Or is time to break the news that we simply can’t deliver the file format the client desires? I think H264 is adequate, but requires an extra transcode on the client’s end.

  Any thoughts appreciated,
