I have FCP 6.0.4. Everytime I try to export my file in wmv only half of the spot is converted. I’ve done it before using default settings but now i keep getting only half of the spot. Any suggestions?

I basically need a format that is most common for PC users and to send out via email. Any recommendations?

It sounds like you don’t have the full version of the flip4mac plug-in.

Depending on your needs, you would buy one of these:

as mentioned, if you haven’t paid for Flip4Mac, you don’t have the capability to do full exports.
I think the demo limits 30 seconds of export.

I use the pro version and find it easy to use, and results in high quality & low file sizes.
Also, my pc clients have never had issues, as they do with quicktime.

OT-isn’t it funny how all the pc folks need is to download quicktime to view these files, but I’ve had SEVERAL say they CANNOT view quicktimes. Go figure. Keeps Flip4Mac in the black.

Flip is a great little product.
If you need to do these QT-to-WMV conversions often, though, either get a PC or Cleaner or Episode.
Another thing to think about: both Quicktime and Windows Media Player have lost the online file battle. The rest of the world has moved on to Flash Player. You will, too, in a few months as your clients’ IT geeks discover how much easier Flash is to deploy and support.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
