Export with Alpha Channel
I’ve tried to use After Effects to create some Graphics & export as a PhotoSHop File w/Alpha Channel.
Whenever I export – there is no alpha – just black. I am editing my file with checkboard background . . . . and exporting as photoshop – but it comes out black background & no alpha . . .
what am I doing wrong and/or forgetting/not setting to properly export photoshop with alpha?

Have you selected RGB and alpha from the channels pull down menu under output module settings?
I just ran a test and I’m getting an alpha with my PSD sequence

I meant render.
I rendered to a photoshop sequence (just 1 frame it’s a simple graphic!), select RGB+Alpha, clicking the alpha button I see an all black background (alpha channel).
After rendering, when pulled into Vegas – insuring alpha channel is set to black/premultiplied – doesn’t work – background is black.
When pulled into photoshop – background is black not transparent.
I changed NOTHING and rendered to quicktime animation (for the hell of it)
THAT works.what gives?

Well, it’s an old thread, but same old problem!
Export to PSD Sequence (Photoshop Sequence) from After Effects CS4 works… even with alpha.
But is there some way to export to “clipped photoshop image format”?
I want to use parts of my output in a photoshop document, and that’s not convenient with that pesky Alpha channel. I want photoshop shapes!
