I’m trying to export a sequence on CS5.5 to either H.264 or another non-DVD format that will show chapters when playing back in Quicktime Player. My markers are all set up (I’ve even enabled them as Encore markers just in case), but the exports to H.264 MP4 files don’t show the chapters; they’re not even showing up when I select the entire sequence or video clip and click Export->Media.

I don’t have this problem with Final Cut Pro 7, so this is particularly frustrating. Anyone know what I can do about this?

    Hi Eugene,

I have had similar problems and just end up using a third party program. Give this program a try:
    https://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/10367/metadata-hootenanny

It allows you to edit the file’s metadata. Another approach is to open the file in QT pro, add the chapters and save as. Good luck.

    Hi Jake,

Thanks for replying, I think I’ll just be reverting back to Final Cut 7 for now, it’s disheartening that something as simple as this isn’t as intuitive in Premiere, I really want to like it but it’s too powerful in the wrong areas and terrible for the things I need to do.
