My office only has Final Cut Express, but I’m guessing this all still applies:

It appears that every time I choose “Export> Using QuickTime Conversion…” the settings are H.264 and 24fps. Is this just because Apple thought it is a good place to start?

What is strange to me is that for a DV sequence, the default resolution for export using QT is 640×480 (Current)… which isn’t the “current” right?

And for a AIC 720p sequence, export default is 640×360 (Current)… which isn’t the “current” and is smaller than the DV export.

    Am I missing something?

QT Conversion is standard agnostic and doesn’t care about FCs sequence setting.
Whatever you import, without regard of size, codec, pixels, etc will be converted to what you set i the export window.
