  • Export toQuickTime – Impaired?

I recently installed QuickTime Pro 7.2 on the same XPPro system with Premiere Pro 2. I want to take advantage of the new codec H.264 for web streaming.

When I export to movie, the usual box showing the conversion comes up and goes through a countdown. At the end, however, the “converted file” is nowhere to be found, though a full search was made. Only on one occasion did I get an error message which stated “unexpected error.” Otherwise, the file seems to disappear into the ether.

This occurred after successfully exporting to Microsoft DV AVI or to Microsoft AVI.

Very short clip of 5166 frames.

    Any collective wisdom appreciated.
