    Hey people,

I can’t seem to get my video from my computer to my XL1. I am able to capture video from my XL1 to my computer without a problem. But when I open Premiere and try to play the timeline in order to export to my XL1 all I get is a blue screen. It does say “DV IN” on the blue screen so I believe that the camcorder thinks it is hooked up and ready. If I unplug the cable I get the “CHECK THE DV INPUT” message.

Sometimes I am able to see one frame of the timeline but then it switches back to the blue screen. I have tried a different Firewire cable but get the same results. I have also tried to clean the connections with a little isopropyl alcohol and a cotton swab. Still no luck.

I also tried to export the video from my Edius LE editor. That didn’t work either.

Another thing I tried was switching between battery power and using a plug-in power source for the XL1. No change.

Any suggestions on what to try next?

    Thanks,
    Kurt

    Kurt,

Try posting this in the Premiere Pro Forum. There’s a lot more traffic there than here in the Canon forum.
