Export to FCP still needs rendering and pixelates

If it matched exactly, then you wouldn’t need to render. Something is off…it has to be. Double check ALL the settings…the CLIP settings of the footage, and the SEQUENCE settings.

And, keep in mind that, if the sequence settings were changed after the media was already on the timeline, that would create an issue even if the setting match the media. So, a match is not always the perfect match.

This is what they are so unless I’m missing some aspect of my clip settings then I’m not sure why this happening. Again, thank you for the help.

Yep. I did not change any of the sequence settings at any time once I put a clip in the timeline. I made sure everything was what I needed it to be before I placed anything in the timeline.

There are many ways to make the render bar appear on a clip that matches the sequence settings. Are you adding any title supers to the shot? Are you adding any filters? Have you changed size or distort in the motion tab or applied any rotation to the shot?

Check the motion and filter tab settings to see if there is something going on there.

To this particular clip, I am not adding anything. The only thing I’ve done to the clip is place in’s and out’s and dragged it to the timeline. That’s all I did. ^_^

I’m not at my office anymore but no I didn’t check those. But I know I never did anything to them. Like I said, all I did was add in and out points and dragged it to the timeline. ^_^

I am guessing somehow the shift fields filter automatically got added. look in the filters tab.

remove it and you should be good.

I am not concerned with what you have done, but FCP can add filters like the shift field and it can change size and distort settings, particularly if anamorphic flag settings are not right.

So if you can check those tabs and if necessary remove any filters and reset distort and motion settings, the need to render and the resulting degrading of you picture may be fixed.
