It was working fine until today. Recording Progress window shows no blue whatsoever, and will not cancel. I downloaded the Media Encoder update v. 1.1, but no fix. I also renamed Adobe prefs file to Premiere Pro and back to Adobe Premiere Pro.
The project is short and simple 20 minutes single video track.

May be time to reinstall Premiere. If you have 3rd party plug-ins, save the “Plug-ins” folder to another location, do a complete ununstall, reinstall and then copy/paste your old Plug-in folder overwriting the installed folder.

I tried that. It still freezes. I notice that after I end the program, Adobe Premiere Pro.exe shows in the “processes” list in Windows Task Manager. I can’t end the process from Task Manager.

Also, when I chose Export to DVD, I get a pop-up saying Premiere is trying to connect to a “DNS Server.” I’m not sure what that means, but that’s precisely when it freezes.

The pop-up is from Norton Internet Security.

Is there a tiny “activation” window hidding somewhere when Premiere freezes? The Mpeg encoder might need to be activated again.
