I have a series of interviews that I need to export at mp4 files. There are multiple interviews on multiple timelines. I’ve been marking in and out and exporting to compressor, but I’d really like to be able to export each interview to compressor and create a batch that I can leave and comeback when all files have been compressed.

When I’m exporting, it locks up the system so I can’t navigate around my timelines. There has to be a better work flow than this. Can someone point me in the right direction.

I have 40 interviews to export. Thanks.

    Greg,

First, use Compressor to create a droplet on your desktop. You’ll see just how easy that is if you open the online help manual.

Then, export QT reference files from FCP to a single directory using current settings. Very fast if you’ve rendered the timelines…

Now drag all of the reference files to your droplet and go back to editing in FCP as Compressor batch renders in the background.
