  • export super-large files to mpeg-2?

    Hello
    Premier Pro People (ppp)
Here’s somebody from the other camp: FCP/AE with a tricky question on export settings in Premiere. (That would be more of a beginner’s question but the files I export are rarely large: 3200 x 1800. Going from ProRes 422 to mpeg-2.
Does anybody knows max files size I can export to mpeg-2 in Premiere?
Secondly a true beginner’s question (forgive me 😉 WHat’s up with the custom’s setting in the export settings window when I go mpeg-2. Presets are mainly HDTV but I cannot add custom settings. Only import settings but where do I then set them up? I need a specific max bit MB/s, variable bitrate and square pxls.

    Any help much appreciated!

    Caspar

You cannot export to mpeg2 in 3200×1800. 1920 is as far as it goes.
Besides from that you can set any bitrate you want and square pixels.

Thanks a lot Ann. That explains why Media Encoder and FFMpeg were also not working.
