How are you trying to send your audio to audition, and are you creating the OMF out of Audition or creating it from PrPro “export OMF”

You indicated that you are using “export” but the quickest way is to select the “Edit in Adobe Audition” from the Edit Menu.

    Hi thanks.

Well I have been sending my cut to audition from prem 6 to create an omf.

I used the edit in audition function.

It seemed to take ages for a 10 min cut?

I have a two and a half hour cut to do.

When i got it to audition I tried encapsulated and reference.

    encapsulated crashed, reference was fine.

Which is the best to use anyway.

    Thanks
    Chris

Ah, you are exporting your video as well, that is why it is taking such a long time as it prepares your video for audition. You will want to use the reference setting if that is quicker. Edit in Audition creates an XML file but i really am not sure what it is doing with the video as it seems to be encoding the video for use in audition, maybe someone else can clarify.

The XML file lives in the Adobe Premiere Pro6.0ProjectsAdobe Audition Interchange folder there may be a problem with the default file path or it may just be too slow a data transfer rate.

Try changing the path for the xml file and see if that helps.
