Export same as source from HD project?
Hi, new to HD here.
I’m trying to export uncompressed QT’s in Xpress Pro HD 5.2.2 from a 720p/23.976 HD project. (Footage shot DVCPro HD). These are short (5 sec) clips to be sent to graphics people for After Effects, etc.
Problem when exporting pretty much anything other than QT Animation (like Same as source, Meridian Uncompressed Progressive, etc) is the exported QT is just 5 secs of black, or a white screen.
A 5 sec QT Animation works fine, but is around 200 MB – would a same as source also be this large?
Anyone out there know what’s going on here? Do I need to be using some other codec, like DNxHD? I must be missing something.

I think I answered my own question with the DNxHD codec. After experimenting, it worked fine in After Effects.
Encountered something strange though: when viewing the QT on the desktop, it would appear as a black screen until I moved the QT player over to where it straddled the dual monitors (CRTs set at 1280×1024). Only then would the footage appear in the QT.
Almost the same case for a Same as source. Black screen turned to white screen when straddling the monitors, but no footage. SAS did not work in After Effects though.
I’m assuming this is a graphics card issue of some kind.
