    Hi.

I just finished my first avid project in a long time (was force to FCP for a while). I just upgraded to MC5 so this is also he first time I’m using the AMA workflow for P2 files. What I would like to hear are suggestions on what export setting to use for my projects. I do mostly live concerts, they are shot with Pana hpx170 using DVCproHD50 108060i camera setting (you may see some files at my website javierstudios.net). I did some test and liked the output I got using Avid 1×1 setting using custom settings with the project width and height, but export is taking for ever (most events are over 2hr long, about 7 hrs to export). Any recommendations, is this a good output format or should I used other settings?

    Thanks

    J

Upss, sorry Shane for not being more specific…. trying to decided a tapeless, output export format – ie quick time file- to be stored and used as “the master Tape” from where it can be converted, transcoded, dematirialized and tele transported to whatever a client would like…. After playing a while with all the menus I found the – same as source – which seems to be the logical option, but I found so many options I’m still open to suggestions or recomendations. Again, mostly shoot DVCpro HD 108060i or 720p. What would you use?

    Thanks!
