    Export options in Sony Clip Browser V. 2.5 for Avid MC3.0

    Hi,

    Can anyone tell me or point me in the direction… We are shooting 1080p/24 on a Sony XDCam EX3 and everything is working fine with clip browser and Avid, but I’m not sure what the best export option would be to convert it to an MXF file in the Sony Clip Browser. There are a few MXF options to choose. Is there somewhere that details each of these exports?

    And also when I’m importing the MXF into Avid I only have a few resolutions options to choose:

    DNxHD 36 MXF
    DNxHD 115
    DNxHD 175
    DNxHD 175X
    1×1 MXF
    1x1p 10b MXF

    I’m a little new to cutting HD in Avid MC so I’m just wanting to make sure that I’m cutting with the right codecs. My broadcaster’s acceptable codec is Avid DNxHD 8 and 10 bit or DVCPRO HD.

    You shouldn’t have to convert to anything. Stay native. Moving to v3.5 would be a lot easier for you using AMA. It eliminates the Sony Clip Browser rewrap step.
