  • Export multiple clips from timeline?

    Hi All,

Can someone tell me if this is possible in CS4?

I have one long clip that I took a bunch of snippets of and laid them out on timeline. I now want to use project manager to create a trimmed project where allt hose clips will be seperate from the main clip. Is this possible?

I use to do it in an old version of PP. It was a fast way to export a bunch of b-roll from one long capture. I would do it in project manager but now when I use project manager it seems to want to just copy over the one long clip to a new trimmed project.

I know I can make each clip a sub-clip. Make them all offline and then re-capture. Just way too time consuming.

    Any thoughts?

    Hi Jeremy ,

Yes, go to project > Project manager.

New trimmed project should be selected, exclude unused clips. Select a path away from your current project folder. I would leave at least a 60 frame handle for minor cut adjustments in the future.

    Than should be it.

Thinking a bit more about it, I guess you mean that you cut those in sequential order keeping the original insert intact, so Premiere just keeps it as a single file.

With subclips, remember that you can convert to “master clip” by right clicking > Edit subclip. You still have to do this for each instance.
It would go fairly fast using keyboard shortcuts, but no magic wand.
