    Hi everyone,

I’ve installed, edited some random footage from 7D un-transcoded to ProRes. When I export movie (using current setting and h264), I get picture corruptions every 2 seconds. Combination of green, pink, and blue drop frame through the entire picture. Has anyone else experienced this?

The work around I found is to Share -> Apple Devices and the results were fine. However, the export too a long a$$ time.

I would prefer export as ProRes then render using Adobe Media Encoder. Got CUDA power!! Hehehe.

    Heyya Robin:

Yeah – I have a minorly similar situation. I record a lot of video game footage via Hauppauge HD PVR to EyeTV software and export from there in a native (not transcoded) H.264 format. I was ‘so looking forward’ to FCPX since it was supposed to save me a massive amount of transcoding in compressor and save me lots of disc space by working with H.264 ‘natively’.

Unfortunately – i get the same image corruptions every 2 seconds and green/black blank frames periodically. Just goes to show that one H.264 is not like the other.

I will have to try it again after the OS X update that came out today to see if that fixed it.

Here is hoping that it “magically” works soon.

Is anyone else having issues with H.264 files in FCP X. Whether I reference the original file or transcode in ProRes in FCP X i still get the missing/skipping frames every second or two. Other H.264s I use have not problem at all. Help!
