export issues in WM8 format
I’ve done this for six months with no problem, but now for some reason, whenever I export in Windows Media format (in a variety of copmpression rates) the image is all garbled. It’s like the two fields are seperated and enlarged on screen. I’ve tried different settings and I keep getting funky output. The audio is fine. I can’t think of anything that I’ve changed since it last worked OK. Any ideas?

I’ve been having the same problem when exporting DV material into WMV 9. The workaround i’ve been using is to make a Video mixdown into AVID 2:1 and then export the material. Seems like the Windows Media codec is having some issues with DV material, maybe i can’t handle lower field separated media…? I am going to make a new post about this issue, to see if SOMEONE knows what to do with this. It’s been eating my heart out for about a year now!
