  Export H264 MOV file for playback on 5D MKII or MKIII

  My goal here is to export an MOV file with the same H264 compression that the Canon 5D MkII and MkIII uses so that when I put the file on a card with the same numbering system as the camera, when I plug in the card to the camera I should be able to view and play the file on the camera. So far, I keep getting an error saying “unable to view file.” I’ve tried exporting an H264 file in various ways in different bitrates, frame rates, etc but have been unable to get the camera to recognize anything.

  I assume the camera writes some special info into the .mov header info. Any ideas how to duplicate this or have the export settings I need to be able to playback footage on the camera? I’ve been using MPEG Streamclip, Quicktime 7 Pro, and Adobe Media Encoder CS6 to no avail.
