Export h.264 for flash direct from FCP
Hi all,
Been bashing away at this for a while now, but haven’t found any definitive answers yet.
What we want to do is export a tape (~60mins) from FCP into h.264 to be used within a flash player. We’ve managed to get it working(-ish), but have somehow lost the audio…
Quick tip: The flvplayback component of flash really likes filenames to end with ‘.flv’ – not ‘.mov’ or ‘.mp4’.
Small filesize is fairly important to us, but clear audio more so. Our other chief concern is a simple workflow – we don’t want to have to export to an intermediary file format and then convert to a h.264 encoded flv.
Any tips or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Tom
PS As there seem to be a lot of people asking about flash/fcp issues, I’ll compile all the knowledge I’m gathering into a tutorial later on. Any contributors to this thread will be credited accordingly. =)
