I’ve accidentally edited a synchronised clip with 8 channels of audio instead of placing it in a project and editing that as I usually do. How can I export this edited clip?

When I click on the sychronised clip in the FCPX browser, I don’t get the version with all my edits. I still have all my edits in the timeline but can’t see how to export them as the share button is greyed.

Did you try selecting all clips in Project (Timeline) and placing in a CC (Compound Clip)?

    You can easily export that.

Edit: I call it Project even though its a sub sequence timeline.

So you double-clicked the Sync Clip and edited right inside it.

With that Sync Clip open in the timeline, just export, works fine.

Selecting the Sync Clip in the Browser works, too.

But if you select the copy in the Browser, and it does not reflect the work you did, then you did in fact drop that. Sync Clip into a Project somewhere and made the changes to the “copy” in that Project timeline.
