export frame size problem
I am working on a project with normal DV footage and have encountered the following problem:
I have adjusted the project settings correctly as far as i know, to match my source clips, which is DV pal widescreen, with pixel aspect ratio of 1.422.
Whenever I export, I get files with a ratio of 1.067 (even if i try exporting in square pixels or any of the other ratio, and even in the adobe media encoder)Why is that happening, and how can i make my exported files get the right ratio?

Please post a screen shot of your project settings, your clip properties and the video export settings.

Do not use the cinepak codec and remove the check from the “Recompress” checkbox.
Does the program monitor look the same as the exported result? Also, is the program monitor set to “Fit”?

It works for uncompressed microsoft avi’s, which is already some kind of breaktrough! Thanks alot.
Still I get the same pixel aspect ratio (1.067 instead of 1.422) problem as before when exporting still frames as bitmaps, tiffs or Targa eventough using the same settings. (DV, 1.422, 16/9) -

I have just upgraded quicktime to 7.6 and now the QT exports work just fine, so i guess that must have been the problem all along…
