    Hello,
I have a question regarding export formats.
I filmed and edited a wedding in full hd, and now I want to burn a dvd. Its way too big though. I do not have compressor. Which format should I export it in without loosing too much quality? I tried a proress 422hq and than h264. Please help.
    thank you

H264 is not to be re-compressed. Proress will be OK to make the MPEG-2
You say that you don’t have Compressor, so what do you have to make the MPEG-2?
You need iDVD, DVDSTPro ot at least Toast Titanium to do that compression.

    Hi Markus,
About iDVD, sorry but I can not help you much; I’ve never used it.
Have a look in the preferences to see if there is any quality option.

If you’re going to iDVD export to QuickTime Movie, nothing else. Do not recompress.

    All the best,

If you have FCS 3 ( which you don’t because it has compressor ) just choose share and choose DVD.
