Export for TV Broadcasting
I am doing a short commercial for Theater show for my friend. It will broadcast at local TV station. I am working in AE for last 7 months but I never done export for TV. It looks great when i open at my computer but when i put it fullscreen it’s not that sharp. I did not preview video at my TV yet.
How should I export.
I am working in PAL D1/DV, I am in Europe. That is only thing I am sure what to do.
1. Should I use 16bpc over 8bpc because gradients look better at 16bpc?
2. Should I use Video for Windows with No Compression or H263 codec?
3. Or maybe Quick Time?
4. Field render? Upper first Lower first or OFF??What else should I think about?
Please can you be as more detailed as you canI am affraid that i will not do it as it should be and it would be horrible. My animation is great as my friends say 🙂 but I must see it broadcastng to be completely satisfied.

See this recent thread for more on delivering video to broadcasters.
You need to get the delivery specs from the broadcaster. If they will accept digital files, they will specify what they need. If they only accept tape, you will need to work with a post house to prep your work for broadcast.
