    Hi Guys

I am about to export a project I have made consisting of photo’s and a motion template. I am putting it onto disc and that disc will be played on a Sony PC to a projector NEC VT59- standard projector size

Can anyone tell me the best settings & codec to export it, I’m worried as I have a Mac that the DVD won’t work in a Sony PC

    Thank you so much
    Michelle

    Hi Michelle,
    That’s an SD projector.
    Up to Google:
    Accepted Video signals
    PAL/PAL60/NTSC/SECAM/NTSC4.43/PAL-N & M

DVDs are all the same (MPEG-2 video) and they should play in every computer, although some particular computers have problems with some brans of disks.
Make a plain NTSC DVD and try it in a domestic player. If its plays there, your DVD is OK.
You can’t do much if some computers reject the disk, then there is a problem with the PC, not with your DVD.

Yes, and I am working in PAL, just wondering if I should export in H.264 or DV PAL or Apple Pro-Res or any of the other millions of options 🙂

    OK PAL.
You can “Send to Compressor..”, or you can export a quality master from FC and compressit with whatever application.
Export from FC with the lower compression you can: Prores better than DV.
H264 is for OK for acquisition or delivery but no when you need process or compress again.
