Hey all,…We have a 1080-60i Final Cut Express project that we want to export with minimal loss for transfer to PC for use in Sony Vegas. We would like to keep the 1440×1080 size and maintain minimal loss (who doesn’t, …I know). Any suggestions, recipes?

Put simply,…I suppose, what are the generic blue-ray export settings?

    thanks

    Hi Bret,
BR works with H264 and MPEG-2, but with certain specs.
You will need an application with the correct presets to export.
I guess you don’t have Compressor.
Try to export with the higher quality that FC Express allows.

Thank you for your response, I have access to compressor. I just want to turn the clips into a self-contained movie without changing the 1440×1080, etc. Even a 20G file would be fine as long as it would play in Windows.

Would exporting it at “default settings” keep it’s native format?

Export directly a QT Movie from the time-line.
Will keep the setting of your sequence.

As Rafael said export as a Quick Time Movie, not a QT conversion. I’m assuming you want to take this into DVD Architect and burn BD, is that correct?
