    Hello
    I am user FCP last 6 Years but this time I face Very Different Problem.
    I have G5 2.66 GHZ with 2 GB ram 2 Hard drive each 500 GB with FCP 5
    the problem is that when I export FCP Quicktime file in fcp sequence .. create one master file and 4 same name “AV” file ….
    Why create same name “AV” file ..
    I am using also in this project Westren Digital USB 2 External Hard Drive and all footages and Project also in this external USB Hard Drive ….

    Plz help me out

    Sounds like your hard drive is formatted for fat32 (windows) and you have a 2GB file size limit so FCP is breaking up the files in order to conform for that spec.

    Also USB hard drives will cause issues when editing, they cannot sustain a constant data rate like firewire can.

    If I reformet USB hard drive then I get what I want meanexport file one piece.

    Yes, as it’s formatted for OSX. If you reformat your USB drive, you will lose all of the information on it so be sure to back it up first.
