I’m using Adobe Premiere Pro CS3. I’m getting this error titled “Export Error: Unknown Error” with no more details than that. I get this error right when rendering completes and it won’t let Premiere create the final finished file. It goes through rendering, then right when it his 100%, this error comes up.
I recently installed the new Quicktime 7.6.7, I think that MAY be a factor, but I doubt it because I’m getting some pretty bipolar results here. The footage originally came from a Canon T2i.

    My computer is pretty fast.
    Intel Core 2 Quad @ 2.4 GHz
    3GB RAM
    7200 RPM Sata hard drive
    Nvidia Geforce 256MB graphics card.
Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit, service pack 2.

    1st Try:
3 Minute 1080p24 sequence. All clips were in editable formats: PHOTO-Jpeg codec @50mbs with a Quicktime container. Music was in .Mp3 format, and audio connected to the video was uncompressed wav.

I tried rendering in H.264(mp4), Qucktime h.264, WMV HD. They all failed at the last frame like stated earlier.

    2nd Try:
I figured Photo JPEG must be acting up because of the high bitrate. So i tried another codec. I tried the Avid DNxHD 36. Which didn’t work at all. The second I imported it into premiere pro. All the footage looked weird and rainbowy and weird, so it was obvious that wasn’t going to work.

    3rd Try:
I thought. Oh! maybe it’s not the Photo JPEG codec. Maybe it’s my Mp3 audio files, since MP3 is compressed, it has to work! So I do a test render by removing all the music from the project. It worked… but now my music was gone.

    4th try:
Now that I thought that mp3 audio was the problem. I went and transcoded those mp3 files to uncompressed wav files and put them back into the project, so my music was back. NOW EVERYTHING IS IN PERFECT EDITABLE FORMAT. I had no super high res JPEG photos. All my clips were in the editable Photo-Jpeg codec. All audio was uncompressed wav. I tried to render now, feeling confident. THEN, I GOT THE “EXPORT ERROR: UNKNOWN ERROR” AGAIN! WITH NO EXPLANATION!

I have been using the Photo JPEG codec with premiere, and mp3 audio with it forever, and it has worked fine! now for some reason premiere is being all buggy. Maybe it’s because of the new Quicktime update? I don’t think mp3 audio was a problem, because if it was, then transcoding to wav should have worked!

    PLEASE EXPERTS! HELP ME!

Also, do you think CS5 could solve this problem?
