Export conform notes from Premiere
The colouring facility I’m handing over to have asked me to also hand over conform notes – ie. a complete list of motion effects, VFX, and speed effects. I have 2 questions:
1. Is there an easy way to export this information from Premiere? (I don’t really want to have to go through an 80min film manually)
2. Is this a common thing to ask for? I’ve never been asked for this before, and I’m wondering if it’s excessive, since they are already getting an EDL, XML and guide video. I’d like to go back and give them a polite ‘no’, since all else is enough for them to work with. I think they are over-asking for extra material since colourists are used to getting handovers that are a mess, but mine are always fine and the media is well managed, so they should be fine with a standard handover, and if I have to do this manually, it’s a lot of extra work. Any colourist’s opinion on this would be welcome. Thanks all!
