Export codecs for .mxf – how to keep a high quality?
Hi there,
I’ve got myself in a bit of a pickle editing with .mxf files on premiere pro. I shot using a canon xf100 and initially thought i could convert the files to a codec i’m familiar with in order to edit in Final Cut. However, i couldn’t find a free programme that didn’t leave a watermark or diminish the quality.
So i dragged and dropped the .mxf files straight into Premiere Pro CS5.5 and let the sequence adjust itself to the files. I now don’t know how to export the files so they will play on my media player and also retain a high quality image. So far, the only way i’ve been able to keep quality is by exporting it back out as an .mxf files 🙁
Does anyone have any advice on what I can do?
All the best,
Winnie
