    Hi,

I have some SD DV Pal 720 x 576 footage, a series of 3min concert pieces, and I need to export it from FCP 6.06 for use either on a website or you-tube. What is the best codec to use, and is it better to convert via quicktime or compressor. Which is higher quality pro res 422, H264 or Apple Intermediate Codec?

    Many thanks Sal

    Hi sally,
Cut the stuff and send it to Color as it is (DV).
    Export from Color to Prores.

Prores is a high quality 422/10b codec.
AIC is something similar to DV (420/8b) but at HD resolution.
