    Hi All,
I was wondering if there is a way to export a clip from fcp’s timeline as an image sequence and having the numbers of the sequence correspond to the position of the clip in the timeline. for example if I have a 50 frame long clip that’s 4550 frames into my timeline and I export it, by default it’s going to get number 1 to 50 and I want it to be numbered 4550 to 4600. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

    thanks,

No, that’s not something you’ll find in FCP. You’ll just have to do tat the old fashioned way, i.e. make a manual log or notes.

thanks David. It’s too bad fcp can’t do that but we found something called file sequencer that’s free and renames image sequences. It’s an extra step but it works.
