Hi. I’m using FCP 5.1 on a PowerPC G5. I’ve been trying to export high quality AVI’s of my videos for my employer, who uses Adobe Premiere on a PC. But the AVI’s I’ve exported thus far won’t open in Premiere nor Windows Media Player.
I’m exporting my final sequences with Quicktime Conversion to AVI’s.
    Any ideas?

I successfully did just that the other day. I exported a self-contained movie and then opened in QuickTime Pro, Exporting as AVI. I went this way because my client needs a deinterlaced file and Quicktime does a quick and decent job of deinterlacing. I then tested the files on my PC using Windows Media Player. Give it a try and see if it works.

By the way Premiere will import QuickTime as well.
