I’ve got a bit of a situation here. After editing a project in FCP and creating a DVD with DVD Studio Pro, I have since upgraded the software. Now, in the ‘old days’ I would compress the audio files to AC3s using A.Pack. When I upgraded (to version 5.0.4) A.Pack was summarily taken off the computer because now to create an AC3 file you use Compressor. I need to burn a new DVD of the older project with a slight change in the audio file. So I make the AC3 file using Compressor and import it into DVD Studio Pro (version 4.0.3). But when I drag it into the timeline I get the error message that the bitrate is different from the other AC3 files. I have no idea how to match the bitrate because I don’t know how to tell what the other file’s bitrate is. I figured this folder is where to post this question because the issue is creating the AC3 file. Thank you.

In DVDSP, click on your audio asset and then, the asset inspector(the window to the bottom right) will tell you what the bit rate, sample size, sample rate and how many channels.

    Hope this helps-

It helps indeed, thanks. I think I’m 5-for-5 in asking questions that have obvious answers on this board.
