Export Audio, Edit, Merge with original video
Hello everyone. Here is my problem. I am editing a movie and I have picture lock. Yeah, I know I should have edited the audio first, but they didn’t want to. The audio is horrible sooooo I did the following in this exact order;
1. Exported all the files I used via Media Manager
2. Edited the audio with Izotope RX.
3. Exported the original video with the new edited audio on a different timeline (sequence) in FCP. (WHICH I JUST REALIZED WAS MY MISTAKE, because that gave the footage different timecodes.)
4. I attempted to use RECONNECT MEDIA to connect the new file (original vid/new aud) to the original timeline (sequence). Also, this were .MXF files that I converted using RAYLIGHT so there is no REEL NAME in FCP.This didn’t work, I kept getting Media File Attribute Errors and it completely messed up my timeline. The good thing is I still have the FCP Project file before I changed it. Is there anyway I can use the original video from the original timeline and combine it with the new audio and keep my timeline in tact?
Thanks all!!!!
