Export actual .MXF file?
Hey all, edited the last 2 seasons of a show in FC7, and was always able to export a .MXF (Not .mov) file to deliver to the network with their specs (XDCam HD 422, 50Mbps, 60i)…
I can export with all of those same internal specs from FCX, but it’s a Quicktime .Mov and they’re complaining about having to transcode.
I believe it was a plugin I had to install in FC7 to enable exporting .MXF file, but googling “how to Export .MXF from Final Cut” brings up pages of “how to IMPORT .mxf” instead.
I can’t be the only person encountering this problem. Advice?

In order to export to MXF in X, you need the Hamburg Media Pro plugin, the Calibrated is for import.

I am currently testing the plugin and let you know. We also need xdcam422HD with 8 audiotracks as MXF
