Is there someway to export a single frame from finalcut pro. In combustion for instance in the file menu there is the option save image. It then deinterlaces the image and saves it to the format of choice. Is this possible in finalcut pro.

Go to file – export – as quicktime (or something like that) in the pull down menu you can choose what kind of export you want to do and a still is one of the options. You can even specify what kind of codec you want to use.

    To be more specific-
Step 1: File> Export> Using QuickTime Conversion… “Save” window appears
    Step 2: Format> Still Image
Step 3: Options… > Format: (choose PNG, PICT or Photoshop) > OK
Step 4: Name your image, Set location (disk, folder, desktop) for your new still. > Save
