  • export a simple still?

i know i’m virtually braindead, and i’ve looked up this one before, but why is it such a convoluted mystery to simply export a single, full-resolution still from an AE project? “Export Frame” always gives me a tiny, low-res version, and only a psd “option” as well. And we all know “snapshot” doesn’t work like one might think it should. Could someone be so kind as to remind me of this technique again? Sorry for asking again…

    🙂

thanks for helping out a bonehead!

Composition > Save Frame As > File

You can set the format and any other settings in the output module settings just like for any other output.

You can also change the default format for still frame exports in the output module templates dialog box. There’s a menu for default format for still frame export.
