Export a Matte grey scale video file.
Hi there,
This is really bizarre, but I have a Composition that I’d like to output the Alpha channel as a Grey scale video file.
When I choose export Alpha from the Render Queue, it just outputs the normal video. Am I doing something wrong? Probably.
Help would be ACE!

that should work, it should export just the alpha (grayscale matte) as an mov.
in ae, at the bottom of the preveiw window, there is an icon that looks like rgb circles, if you click on that, there is an option to see the alpha for your current comp.
if you select ‘alpha’ does it look like you think it should? it should look exactly like the render of the alpha.

I’ll have another look at it tonight after work.
I need this to export as a test for a new Pixel Bender I’m writing for Flash and AE, I’m a programmer more than an AE guy 😉
Hopefully it will bring something new that is needed.
