    Hey,

So, I’ve made a film and had the 7.1 mix all done at the local audio facility and all is great.
BUT now the client wants to tighten the edit and lose some time.

There’s no budget to back to the studio, so I’ll have to do it myself. I’ve imported the 8 audio tracks into Premiere and have done the cut down, can I export the 7.1 audio file separately from Premiere with all the correct panning, etc from the original mix?

    Cheers,
    Andrew.

Premiere Pro does not currently support 7.1 surround sound, so if you had to export a correct 7.1 output again, you would have an issue.

You probably could import the 8 tracks, trim your edit and then send it back to ProTools or audio sweetening tool to get the correct 7.1 output again, but you should check with that facility.

Cheers for the reply Dennis, that’s what I was afraid of.
Looks like I’ll have to go back to the audio guy…

    Thanks,
    Andrew.
