This is a personal thing, but I wouldn’t risk my reputation or my clients’ footage on something like that just to save some money in the short term.

Alen, I’ve been using XDCAM EX cameras since December 2007 and I’ve never heard of these cards before, so I’m not sure how much luck you’re going to have getting an answer.

If you’re considering buying such a replacement for either the Sony SxS Pro or SxS-1 cards I would highly recommend doing your own (detailed) research starting with a Google search on the name first before committing your money to something that’s probably sketchy at best. If these cards have been around for a while you can bet that Sony also knows about them and I’m sure somebody there would be willing to give you some info. Sony’s cards may be comparatively pricey but you can rely on them and Sony will help you out should anything should go wrong with any of their cards.

SxS-1 cards are good for 10,000 cycles.
SxS Pro cards are good for 100,000 cycles.

    And also, what Clint said.
