Expanding the alpha layer of an Illustrator imported image
Hi there,
I’m doing some beginner tutorials practicing morphing. In a certain moment I saw that the reshape didn’t expand as much as I wanted. (https://i65.tinypic.com/1z5q3cl.png). After a short investigating I discovered that is due to the size of the alpha background of the image. (https://i63.tinypic.com/2h4wytv.png). All files in Illustrator take the minimun background size, so I’m sure there’s an option to expand that background or taking the reshape to the full next image.
Could anyone help me please? Thanks!

Does applying the Grow Bounds effect before anything else help?
