Expand work area?
This is probably as basic as it gets, but I’m new to After effects and want to add credits to a .mov sequence. I’ve dragged the file unto the timeline but the file cuts off and goes back to the beginning after 12.5 seconds. I’ve tried to expand the work area ruler by dragging my arrow over it to allow more time and to watch the rest of teh file, but it’s not letting me. How do I expand teh time line ruler so I can watch the rest of this file? Thanks.

You need to increase the duration time of your composition by clicking the “composition” menu, then “composition settings”, then increase the duration time.
