Most of his effects are free and you likely get away with an sd effect. Even his paid effects are ridiculously cheap – I once asked him why and he said basically he does it because he enjoys it.

Thanks for the reply, I have seen that tutorial before and tried to emulate it as close as possible, but my actor gets shot from behind and the blood splatter needs to come towards the camera.
