Does exchanging 4GB RAM with 8GB RAM will visibly improve my workflow in Vegas 10 64-bit? Is it worth bothering?

Provided your motherboard and version of Windows x64 supports it, yes. Given the low cost of RAM nowadays, I would recommend installing between 12-16 GB.

It will not improve your workflow per se, but it will make swapping between programs speedier, plus you can run multiple instances of Vegas if needed. e.g. recently I was able to simultaneously render 3 x 60 minute HDV projects using 2 pass VBR render settings on my system.
