  Exchange Plug in problem

  So at work i have C4D 11.5 for Mac, but i needed to bring some work home with me and im on a PC at home. and the latest version of C4D i have is 11… none of this should really matter but just giving all the details i can, ive rendered what i needed out of C4D at work, along with the compositing AE project and all my multipasses so i could just bring the renders, compositing AE proj, and the AE Exchange Plug-in from my C4D at work home, copy that exchange plug in to my AE plugins folder i should be good to go right? Well im not, its not recognizing the AE Proj, whats going on here? I had no problem doing this with 11 at home, but when i bring the 11.5 plug in home from work i get nothing.
