    Hey guys,

me and my co-worker got a little problem with avid by linking mxf files.

First we got this error message:
“Exception: Sequence refers to non-existent track in clip. Please turn off monitoring and re-edit references to the following clip. You may then re-enable monitoring.
    , clip: “clipname”, missingTrack:A1″

We got video and audio mxf files separated and we can’t open them with avid at the same time. And we got 3 mxf files and (only) one xml file.

    Can any one please help?!

    kind regards from germany!

    Hello,

I have had some experience with this message. How were the MXFs created? That is, are you importing the MXF and then getting the message when you click on the master clip or sequence? Usually this means the file specification states it has a certain number of tracks with IDs..but if the file’s tracks do not actually match the specification, Avid might try to reference one of the supposed tracks that don’t actually exist. The fact that the message says A1 is a bit suspicious. Do your audio MXFs originate from a clip with video?

What did you do to fix this? My clips are not seeing A2 from the MXF files.
