excel spread sheets
Posted by Greg Ball on February 18, 2006 at 6:34 pmDoes anyone have an excel spread sheet template they use for writing proposals, that calculates totals. I’d be grateful if you could share one with me. Thanks

February 18, 2006 at 11:15 pmI’ve got a simplified version of the bid I developed for my company that runs on File Maker Pro; write me off-list if you want it.
In my opinion, a database is superior to spreadsheet for bid applications.
Best regards,

February 19, 2006 at 9:41 pmThanks for the offer Leo. I’m really looking for something that I can use in Excel to just complete quotes for projects. Any other thoughts?

February 21, 2006 at 3:20 pmNot sure what kind of file this is. Couldn’t open it. Also I’m very cautious about opening .exe files from anyone I don’t know. Can you show me a PDF? Thaks

February 21, 2006 at 4:57 pmHmm…Its an application that I developed to calculate prices. Not sure how I can create a PDF of an application. Perhaps a screenshot?

February 22, 2006 at 7:02 pmNot really looking for a new application. Just wanted to work in Excel. Thanks anyway. I can’t believe nobody else does this!

February 22, 2006 at 7:14 pmMost of us use programs like Quick Books or FileMaker to do this. Databases are just much better at these tasks than spreadsheets.
That is why no one is offering an Excel spreadsheet template.
