    Hey there –

    Ran into a question:
I’m converting all of my FX7’s footage that I captured in Sony Vegas to Quicktime to edit in FCP7. I’m wondering which codec I should choose to have these converted files (m2t –> MOV) to line up best with my EX3’s footage that has been ran thru EXCAM Transfer?

What codec is EXCAM Transfer wrapping the MPEG4 files in?

    Thanks!

…..Apple ProRes 422? ___trying to save space (somewhat limited) and have a very editable clip for FCP7.

    Thanks again.

Your EX footage is in the .mov format. Set your timeline in FCP to whatever you have the most footage in. If you have more HDV footage set the timeline up for that but if you have more EX footage then use the EX codec in the easy setup for FCP.
