    Hi Edward,

I don’t know why I can’t make this work but I am having trouble using the “Set Duration” in the Velocity/Duration tab. I’m using Excaliber 5.4.

I’m working on a photo montage and I have 55 pictures on the time line with a song on the audio track. I have the pictures set at 7.5 seconds each in the Vegas options. But I need to change these 55 pictures to 6 seconds to match the length of the song. I click the first picture then hit the Shift key and click on the last picture so they’re all highlighted. Then I open Excalibur set the duration to 6 seconds and the pictures don’t really do anything.

Can you please tell me what I might be doing wrong?

Does Excalibur have a function for events to match an audio track?

    Help!

    Thanks,
    Mike Sullivan

Select the images first, run Excalibur, enter the new desired length, and then run the set duration tool. That will change their lengths. Then you would need to run the gap/overlap tool to adjust their transition time.

However, that’s not how I match music length. Because the process is so easy in Vegas I have not included a “match music” option. Here’s how you do it:

Select all of the events, press “G”, now hold down the CTRL key and resize the LAST event to match the music. This will change all of the events and transitions proportionally.
